This brief demonstration of the new Field BIM-Interactive product shows how  construction field users can navigate a model and touch objects to interact with data on an iPad. Key features of FB-I include a simple interface that allows users to use iPad gestures like pinch-to-zoom to navigate the model and the ability to leverage all viewpoints from either Autodesk Navisworks or Revit to easily jump to locations in the model in the field.

This video demonstrates Vela Field BIM for commissioning, handover and operations. The processes of scanning equipment in the field (a mechanical room) using Vela Mobile: iPad, updating information (like serial #) on the piece of equipment, reviewing documents and more are reviewed. The field information is then synchronized with Vela Web for further review and updating in the office. Lastly, the field data is automatically synchronized with Navisworks, updating properties in the Navisworks file, linking files and providing a color-coded status of the progress of the equipment on the project.
