JOB TITLE: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a talented, highly motivated Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with a positive attitude and desire to make an impact on an organization. He/she will be responsible for test plan development and execution for tablet and web-based software. Will also be instrumental in helping to promote and advance the QA methodologies as the organization continues to grow. Areas of responsibility will include collaboration on product design, test strategy, test case creation, scheduling of work, test case execution, and test data analysis. Must be passionate about their work and be able to thrive and be a change agent in a dynamic startup environment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tests software programs assuring compliance with specifications and approved documentation
- Identifies, analyzes, and documents defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens, and content
- Establishes benchmarks for program efficiency in operating and response times
- Creates test plans, Test suites, test cases and test data to support test requirements
- Executes Test plans; documents, tracks, and communicates results
- Installs, maintains, and uses software programs
- Responds to inquiries from users and technical support regarding functions and operations of software programs
- Contributes to establishment of standards and procedures for program design and testing
- Recommends program improvements or revisions to development team
- Reviews computer logs and reports to identify program processing errors and possible improvements
- Identifies program variances from standards and suggests modifications to conform
- Assists support to isolate possible problems in software after implementation
- Conducts compatibility tests with other software programs, hardware, multiple operating systems, and network environments
- Reviews and contributes to software program documentation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field. If degree is not in a related field, must have relevant post-graduate coursework or equivalent professional experience
- Typically 3+ years as a Software Quality Assurance professional
- Database, scripting, network setup/administration, and experience working in an Agile/Scrum methodology are desirable
