About Us
Vela Systems is the result of research into mobile software for the AECO industry at the MIT Center for Real Estate and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. After extensive analysis of available solutions, Vela's founders recognized the tremendous opportunity to apply the best practices in mobile information technologies to address key pain points in the AECO industry.
On balance, the core business of AECO professionals is the production and management of information. Why is critical project information trapped in the office, and not readily available in the field where project teams need it most? In today's marketplace, mobile technologies are a competitive requirement in industries such as supply chain management and logistics, package handling, and many others. Vela Systems was founded to empower the key stakeholders in the AECO industry with mobile information technologies-powerful, focused, and easy-to-use software.
